Your privacy matters. This policy explains how Aura handles your data.
Aura stores all your data locally on your device. We do not operate servers and do not collect, transmit, or store your personal information remotely. Your journal entries, letters, emotional profiles, and recovery progress never leave your device.
Aura uses Apple Sign-In and Google Sign-In for account creation. Authentication is handled by Apple and Google respectively. We receive only your user ID and display name to identify your account. We do not access your email or password.
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat to verify your subscription status. RevenueCat receives only your anonymous user ID to check entitlement status. No personal data is shared.
Aura uses Firebase Analytics to collect anonymous usage events (such as app opens and feature usage) to improve the app experience. We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix crashes. No personal data, journal content, or identifying information is included in analytics or crash reports. We do not use advertising frameworks or share data with advertisers.
If you attach photos to journal entries, they are copied to the App’s local storage on your device. Photos are never uploaded or shared.
Aura may use Face ID or device passcode to protect your letter vault. Biometric authentication is handled entirely by iOS. We never access or store biometric data.
Since all data is stored locally, uninstalling the App permanently deletes all your data. You can also sign out from the Profile screen to clear your authentication session.
Aura is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the “Last updated” date above.
